OUR STORY

For almost 30 years now, we have proudly served the New England and greater Boston area with high quality and innovative leather furniture repair and restoration. Upon reaching this milestone, we are even more excited to continue growing in excellence, reducing turnaround times and expanding our services to include all of your leather repair and maintenance needs.

Bryan Graves started Hub Leather in 1993 by landing his first contract with Jennifer Leather. The business was started as a part-time endeavor to support another of his passions - music. However, after five years of honing his skills in leather repair and re-upholstery, he realized the potential market for his services and so ventured out, expanding Hub’s client base by contracting with many of the top-selling leather furniture retailers in the Boston area. Our services have been utilized by Roche Bobois, Mitchell Gold Bob Williams, Boston Interiors, and Crate & Barrel, just to name a few.

Throughout the years our business has shifted to include residential restoration as well as large scale contracts with design and furniture companies.  We constantly hear the same stories from clients who are not ready to throw away their worn out leather sets, when with the right kind of help, they can repair or restore their well-loved pieces. We know we have done our best when we complete a restoration and the customer comments: ”I keep walking by our living room just to take another peek at our ‘new’ furniture!”

In response to a burgeoning customer base we decided it was time to open our first public shop space in Framingham. This gave us the flexibility to grow our staff and take on larger, more-involved projects, like leather component replacement and complete re-upholstery. We look forward to many more years of serving the greater Boston area, Metro West, Worcester, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.

Our Team

Bryan Graves

Bryan grew up in sunny California but fell in love with New England during his days at Boston University. He began Hub Leather as a way to support his love of music. Now, twenty-plus years later, he still looks like a kid unleashed in a candy store when he is explaining the repair processes, techniques, and random facts about leather! He spends his free time with his family, dreaming up new furniture designs, hunting Craigslist for midcentury modern "acquire-ables", and perusing the new arrivals section at Guitar Center.

Miguel Guanipa

Miguel spent the first ten years of his life in Venezuela. He has a wonderful wife, three lovely daughters, and granddaughters who bring him joy. His time at MassArt does not go unnoticed, as he often can be found diving into the color matching process. He likes the Bee Gees, film, recycling, and deep conversation.

Isaac gonzalez

Isaac is the newest member of Hub's restorative team, putting his artistic eye to learning the restorative processes. He enjoys traveling with friends and is part of a band in his spare time! Don't worry, we will encourage him to tell us more about himself as time flies by!

ROBERT COTE

Robert enjoys philosophy, building computers, and bologna sandwiches. He holds a degree in History (with a minor in Art), which lends itself nicely to the restoration processes we attend to in our shop. He can often be found spending time with his "little brother mentee," playing video games, or researching a wide variety of topics, not limited to Marvel comics and furniture design.

Rachel Wilson

Rachel is our administrative guru here at Hub, she keeps the wheels running and the orders orderly. She enjoys spending time with friends, watching crime shows, and taking long naps. Even running errands, you won't catch her anything but open toed shoes, the latest favorite being fake Birks!

Jo turner

Jo came on board to help welcome our clients by taking on some basic administrative duties as well as bringing some mature youth to our office! She enjoys scrapbooking and making time to hang out as close to the beach as possible in the New England summer months.
